Make :: Mrs Bean's Famous Nutmeg Ginger Apple Snaps

It must be quite clear by now that I just love Fantastic Mr. Fox. Watching little fox puppets behave so civilised and have a hidden society going on was made all the more fabulous when you see them devour their food and allow it to go all over their face and don't care about the noises they make; it's the kind of world I'd like to think really does exist!
These biscuits are eaten by Kristofferson and Ash when they break into Mr Bean's house to get back Foxy's tail. When I saw them I thought they looked amazing and luckily managed to find a recipe from Rushmore Academy, so I made them straight away! Here's how they turned out:

and they tasted amazing! I slightly altered the recipe though and put a bit less ginger in it, which I thought worked out at just the right amount. You can find my recipe in pictures on my Tumblr post here, happy devouring :)

Make :: Let the wild rumpus start!

It's been a while since I updated this, a long while. That said, I have actually managed to make a few little bits and bobs, one of which was a magnificent onesie inspired by Max from Where The Wild Things Are. As I've mentioned before, this is a costume I've wanted an excuse to make for a long time, so here it is!

Although you can't see it entirely, it has ears, whiskers and a tail! The outfit was quite straightforward to make, and this is coming from someone who never uses sewing machines, however I did find that I accidentally made the legs a little bit thin, it's better to add too much material and reduce as you go a long. I got the instructions from here and the instructions are really easy to follow and clearly ordered too, so kudos to them!

I hope this helps you all find your inner wild thing too :)
